A tough loss...
posted: Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 5:24 PM

The Trail Blazers fought hard and played well, but it wasn't enough against the NBA's best. The Trail Blazers lost to the Celtics 112-102, as they lost a 17-point second quarter lead.

The Trail Blazers were led by 25 points from Travis Outlaw, who stepped up in the absence of Brandon Roy for much of the second half.

Jarrett Jack added 17 points. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 14 points and Steve Blake had 12 points and seven assists.

The Celtics were led by 30 points from Paul Pierce, who also had seven rebounds and five assists. Ray Allen scored 19 points and James Posey scored 15. Rajon Rondo also scored 15 points and led all players with eight assists.

The Trail Blazers played hard, but allowed the Celtics to shoot 58% from the field.

A tough loss to swallow, but the Celtics are one of the league's best teams.

The Trail Blazers head to Los Angeles to play the Lakers and Clippers on Tuesday and Wednesday, so let's hope California is good to our Rip City boys.

I am serious doubting Nate McMillan’s coaching abilities. Come on coach. Step outside of the box when our starters or white unit are not performing well and give some quality minutes to McRoberts, Wafer or even Miles. Let’s stir things up a bit.
I am a season ticket holder and it is far too frustrating to watch our Blazers lose these games that we could have or should have won.
I have been notified that the blazers office would like confirmation for next season tickets....
I’ll have to get back with you.

Channing Frye lost his game in New York somewhere between Central park West and 38th. It's not funny. Frye and the NYPD have been looking for his game for quite some time. An entire article has been written about this subject.

The Celtics have gone on a 9-2 run, and now lead 88-75 with 8:43 remaining. The Trail Blazers are running out of time to turn it around, and need a spark immediately. Brandon Roy hasn't played since early in the third quarter, but it seems that he must not be feeling well as he hasn't re-entered the game.

The Celtics will start Paul Pierce (SF), Kevin Garnett (PF), Kendrick Perkins (C), Ray Allen (SG) and Rajon Rondo (PG).

The power forward match-up will be one to watch tonight as LaMarcus Aldridge goes up against one of the NBA's best defenders, Kevin Garnett.

Let's make this a happy Sunday afternoon
posted: at 2:15 PM

The Trail Blazers will face one of their toughest tests of the season as they play host to Kevin Garnett and the NBA-leading Boston Celtics.

The Trail Blazers played the Celtics tough when they clashed in Boston a month ago, but the Celtics earned a 100-90 victory.

The Trail Blazers will need all of the effort they can get from the entire roster today. Travis Outlaw has been on fire in the three games since the All-Star break, averaging nearly 23 points per game. Outlaw will likely match-up with two of Boston's All-Stars, Garnett and Paul Pierce, so his offense and his defense will be important today.

The Celtics have lost three straight games for the first time this season and will be extremely motivated to get a win. But the Trail Blazers are equally motivated to get a victory, as they have lost six of seven.

Just over half an hour to game-time...

Let's go Trail Blazers!
