I wonder if Charles Barkley still thinks the Blazers won't make the playoffs. How many NBA teams win 17 out of 18 games and miss the playoffs? Nice prediction Barkley - your credibility just shot through the roof - or the floor - or something...

Steve Blake's injury is a "left calf contusion"

His return is being called doubtful, but there's really no way he'll be coming back into this game with the Trail Blazers up 101-78.

Looking for a win before leaving home
posted: at 6:15 PM

The Trail Blazers play their only game of the week tonight against the Golden State Warriors. The Blazers have bounced back with three wins in a row since the 13-game winning streak was halted in Utah. The Warriors were victim #5 of the streak - the Trail Blazers won 105-95 here in the Rose Garden on Dec. 12 in the first of their four clashes this year.

Portland's leading scorer, Brandon Roy, is a game-time decision with a tail-bone injury. He was on the bench for nearly all of the Trail Blazers' win against Utah on Saturday. Martell Webster picked up the slack with 26 points, including 24 in an incredible third quarter. LaMarcus Aldridge added 20 points, eight rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals.

The Trail Blazers will need all the help they can get against a strong Warriors squad that is coming off a huge overtime win against the defending champion San Antonio Spurs. The Warriors follow their fearless leaders Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson. Davis is averaging 22 points, eight assists and nearly five rebounds per game this season and also ranks second in the NBA in steals. Davis scored 34 points and dished out 14 assists against San Antonio.

The Trail Blazers will be missing an energetic presence tonight, just not one on the court. Josh McRoberts, one of the Trail Blazers' three rookies, was recently assigned to the Idaho Stampede of the NBDL. McRoberts should gain a lot of important playing experience in the D-League.
