Trail Blazers Shut Down Gasol Pull Out Win
posted: Friday, November 09, 2007 at 9:36 PM

The comeback is complete... the Trail Blazers shut down Pau Gasol to 0 second half points... and behind LaMarcus Aldridge 30, Brandon Roy 22, Jarrett Jack 20, and Martell Webster 17, the Trail Blazers scrap back to win 110-98. See you tomorrow night as we take on the Dallas Mavericks.

It was a battle of wills tonight and we came from behind to win in the 4th quarter behind a Martell 3 and great penetration by Roy and Jack. Great game - and somewhere along the line our defense showed up! It was great to be there and only makes the pain for those who can't see the games on TV worse (that we are playing well).

On the comeback
posted: at 8:54 PM

Due to Brandon Roy shooting better (13 points), and LaMarcus (20 points) continuing where he left off, the Trail Blazers have stormed back to make it a 2 point game 74-76 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The place is going nuts. Gasol has been held to 1 point in the second half.

Half-Time 61-49
posted: at 8:23 PM

The Grizzlies like to get up and down (averaging 108 ppg) and have done so in this first half. They put 61 points on the board, led by Pau Gasol (19 points) and Rudy Gay (13 points).

The Trail Blazers have gotten solid play from LaMarcus Aldridge (13 points) and Martell Webster (11 points), but will need a better shooting second half from Brandon Roy (2-7 for 4 points).

THe teams are about to get going again... so let's hope the Trail Blazers can get some stops and make a run like they did against the Hornets in the second half on Opening Night.

35-46, Gasol is having a solid game so far... 19 points on 8-9 shooting. Aldridge has 10 points and 5 boards through 3:45 left in the 2nd.

We're having some tech problems on the Game-Time Blog tonight, we'll do our best to keep you updated.

The line outside....
posted: at 5:48 PM

Ok, 5 minutes until the doors open up and there is a line out in front of each of the entrances. You may ask, why? Are people anxious to get their hotdogs? Maybe tryout the new Pyramid Taproom at Schonley's Place (the new restaurant)? To read Rip City Magazine? No, it is to get their free Greg Oden Bobblehead. The first 10,000 through the gate get this cool collectors item.

Don't be afraid to comment... we love to hear from you guys as you listen/watch at home.
