It's Raining 3's
posted: at 9:04 PM

Portland has made 9/16 shots from down town so far tonight, with James Jones adding the most recent 3-pointer.

The Wizards are going to have to conjure up a magical spell if they want to win this one. The visiting team looks tired and defeated, as they trail 95-73 in the final minutes of the game.

Washington continues to flounder as Portland remains solid
posted: at 8:54 PM

Although their lead has slipped, Portland still maintains a 15-point edge, 83-68 over the visitors with 8 minutes to go.

Joel Pryzbilla has 13 rebounds tonight,
Travis Outlaw has contributed 18 points to the teams total so far,
Jarrett Jack has added 17,
but Webster is sitting pretty on the bench with his 23 points and 4 3-pointers.

Portland Leads 82-66 at end of the 3rd
posted: at 8:45 PM

As the game rolls into its final period, Portland leads 82-66. The team seems to have fully regrouped after last night's tough loss in Seattle. Despite their big stars Aldridge and Roy both absent with injury, (Aldridge sprained his ankle in last nights game, Roy left in the second period with a groin strain and will not return tonight), the rest of the team, with Webster leading the way, seems to be doing just fine.

Brandon Roy Will Not Return
posted: at 8:33 PM

Although Roy initially appeared to be ok after hobbling off the court in the 2nd quarter, an update has come in that he has a right groin strain and will not return.
However, as Portland hangs on to a 20 point lead, it looks like they won't need him tonight anyway.

OUCH!
posted: at 8:25 PM

Jarrett Jack collided hard with Antonio Daniels in an attempt to block his fast break shot. Both went down hard, but are ok.
Trail Blazers lead by a whopping 20 points, 68-48, with Martell leading his team with 16 points, Travis Outlaw with 15.

3-3-3!
posted: at 8:03 PM

Martell it seems has started a trend with his big 3 pointer, with Outlaw and Jack immediately following in his footsteps with down town baskets of their own. As the half time buzzers sounds, Portland leads 59-43. Now that's a good way to start the second half!

An injury report hasn't been sent yet, I'll keep you updated on Brandon's status as the information comes in. He appeared to be hobbling a bit befoore leaving the court.

Roy appears to be ok, he joined his team in shooting around at the half, and will most likely be back in the game.

Actually, this is incorrect. He will NOT return, after suffering a right groin strain.

What they Don't Show You On TV...
posted: at 7:52 PM

As the Trail Blazers take a time out, a segment called "ASk The Blazers" on the ROse Garden big screen showed each player individually answering a fans question: "Who is the first to fall asleep on the road after games?"

It seems most of the players agree that Travis Outlaw is the sleepiest of the bunch, with Rodriguez coming in second.

Travis Outlaw just made a major block, which had both teams grabbing for the rebound, and creating a jump ball. Portland leads 25-16 with under 2 minutes to go in the first.
