Portland's smothering defense has set the tone..

Call it "The Brandon Roy Effect," but when the rookie guard is in the game, the Trail Blazers always step their game up. Roy's help defense, along with Juan Dixon's energy in the backcourt, has sparked a Portland rally and given the Trail Blazers a 3 point lead.

In a blink of an eye, however, the Raptors tied up the game, with a baby hook shot and a converted foul shot. Bargnani leads all Toronto players with 9 points, while Jarrett Jack has scored 9 of his own to lead the Trail Blazers.

Brandon Roy isn't leading Portland in scoring but he's done everything but sell popcorn so far. He's scored 4 points, dished 4 assists, grabbed 3 rebounds, drawn fouls, wrapped presents, played both shooting and point guard, caused turnovers and even wished everyone a holly, jolly holiday...
