Frye starting out hot
posted: Tuesday, April 08, 2008 at 7:16 PM

Channing hits a long jumper for his fifth and sixth points of the game. He's also got two rebounds.

Derek Fisher is left wide open for a three, but it rims off. Fisher hasn't missed many of those against the Blazers during his career. D-Fish is a notorious Blazer killer.

Frye with the dunk for another deuce. That's eight for Channing in the first quarter. A solid night from Frye would go a long way toward helping the Blazers get a W tonight.

LaMarcus has some blood on his jersey, so he's going to have to go topless for a second in front of the crowd. Aldridge gets some catcalls from the Rose Garden. When you got it, might as well show it off.

James Jones, who's been in a bit of a shooting slump as of late, hits from three. Channing is fouled away from the ball during the play, and he'll get one shot from the free-throw line for his trouble. It's good, and Channing has nine.

With 5:35 to go in first quarter, it's Blazers 19, Lakers 16. So far, so good.
