Kobe one-sixth of the way toward fouling out
posted: Tuesday, April 08, 2008 at 7:11 PM

Brandon Roy draws a crowd on his way to the hoop, and ends up getting fouled by Kobe Bryant on the attempt. Brandon misses the first, but makes the second, and we're on the board.

Lamar Odom saunters to the rack for an easy two. That looked like a layup drill.

Steve Blake almost does the same thing and finishes with the same result. Easy buckets is what this team sorely needs, especially at the start.

Brandon Roy's pass is stolen, Kobe leading the break, gets it to Gasol, who's hammered by Channing Frye. Playing physical is the best way to get at Pau. He makes both.

With 9:41 to play in the first quarter, it's Blazers 7, Lakers 6
