Timeout to "Shoot for a Tundra"

Early in the third quarter, Coach Nate McMillan called a timeout to organize the Trail Blazers attack. It’s not so much that Portland was disorganized, but the Trail Blazers needed an excuse to do the Toyota “Shoot for a Tundra” Contest.

Tonight’s contestant took a 5 step running start and then let it fly from way behind the half-court line. Had he shot from a tad closer, he probably would have won a truck…
