The Trail Blazers made a late run to take a nine-point lead into the locker room at the end of the first half, 55-46. Steve Blake leads the Trail Blazers with 10 points and four assists. Brandon Roy scored seven points in the first quarter, but sat out the entire second quarter because of foul trouble. LaMarcus Aldridge leads Portland with six rebounds and has scored five points.

The Timberwolves have been led by a trio that came over in the KG trade. Ryan Gomes leads Minnesota with nine points. Gerald Green has scored eight points on two three-pointers and a spectacular windmill dunk. Al Jefferson has scored just six points, but played well at the end of the half.
