An early indicator of how the game has gone is Zach Randolph's first quarter line. The forward has 0 points and 3 rebounds, and constantly seems to have 2 or 3 Maverick defenders in his face. Portland needs to increase their intensity on defense and get some easy buckets to regain some of the momentum. Look for them to pressure the Mavericks backcourt with a full court press...

With portland having 15 points from the bench so far in this quarter, and dallas having 0, guys like zach randolf can have shaky starts because portland does have enough shooters to keep themselves in range.; 7:06 PM
