Another Late-Game Rally
posted: Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 9:35 PM

Wow. Another come from behind win for the Trail Blazers. A pretty nice way to start the Thanksgiving holiday weekend if you ask me.

After trailing the entire game, Portland pulled it together just in time. With only a few minutes remaining the Trail Blazers dug it out and finished off New Jersey, 100-97, for the second time in less than a week.

It was a team effort for the Trail Blazers. It was Zach Randolph hitting his free throws. It was Jarrett Jack running the offense. It was Travis Outlaw at the shot clock buzzer. And it was Martell Webster taking the charge.

Randolph led Portland with 25 points, 20 of which came in the second-half. Jack had 17 to go with his five assists. LaMarcus Aldridge continued his honeymoon streak with 10 points and eight boards.

And boy, I wouldn't want to be in the Nets locker room right now. Losing a lead they held all game long, after being blown out on their home floor just days earlier. Ouch. New Jersey, it seems, just doesn't have an answer for the Trail Blazers right now.

Have a great Holiday weekend, try not to eat TOO much, and hopefully we'll see you again Saturday as Portland travels to Sacramento to take on the kings.
